This earth is our home, our house, but the thing is we clean up our home only every now and then, maybe only stuffing things away in case of company, but when has anyone from another planet come to visit our home? Does it take an alien to come and visit before we take care of this world? Why must it be that we have to have a huge incentive or a bribe or something we really want before we take action? Our world is slowly dying and decaying and what are we doing? Nothing. That's the thing nothing. We can't blame anyone else but ourselves for what's happening. On the news every now and then it pops up that they found new research on how other things are effecting our planet but it's not all what we make it out to be. It's human nature not to care or want to take the blame, we always find loop holes and won't stop until it's entirely not our fault. But it is. It takes a huge publicity before we'll get up and do something, like cleaning the planet. This topic was of huge controversy when Al Gore created the movie The Inconvenient Truth but it was pushed aside after a few months only to be replaced by a trivial topic in comparison, oil prices. Because of our neglect and ignorance, we've left the world to die and we are still doing nothing.

The picture above represents our world. The right side is what the world could be and used to be, mother nature. mother nature is a mythical being that represents our earth. Her hair is the sky and the water, lustrous and bright and she is clothed in nature, plants, trees in all it's glory. Bright colours enwrap her, this is what the world should be like, this is our delusion. We think it is perfect but the left side is reality, a poor helpless world surrounded by darkness and dullness. Her clothes are torn, her hair dull and dirty and her eyes are dulled. This is what our world is like it's what we've done and people may think that it's too hard to reverse it's better to give up, but I see a child crying for help, from us. We could create a beautiful cleaner world if we just take the time, not needing an incentive or a dictator to force us to do this. If everyone just thought at least once a day, This world is beautiful, I want it to be even more beautiful and then do one thing taht benefits our enviroment, the world could be a wonderful place. This picture is everything and nothing to the world, just by looking at this it could effect people's day but on the other hand it is only a mere picture, a representation, that can only sit there and hope that it will change people. Thoughts, hope and faith without action mean nothing to this world, so we shoud protect it. If mother nature was merely a child in need and crying out for help, wouldn't you want to protect it, help it? So what will you do?
